Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia– As a part of World Blood Donor Day Oyu Tolgoi LLC today participated in the ‘More Blood. More Life’ event in Ulaanbaatar. Cameron McRae, President and CEO, and David Paterson, Vice President - Regional Development and Communications, presented awards to the Police Academy and the University of Health Sciences, recognising their success in encouraging blood donation.
Mr McRae said “I am delighted that Oyu Tolgoi has the opportunity to participate in World Blood Donor Day. As a major employer in Mongolia, with a commitment to community health and safety, it is vital that we support the National Blood Centre. I encourage all of our employees to donate blood regularly.”
During the event, the National Blood Centre presented Oyu Tolgoi with an award as ‘Best Benevolent Organisation’.
